In 1994, local citizens formed Skagit Habitat for Humanity. This year, we are celebrating 30 years of building decent, affordable homes with low-income families in our community. We believe in empowering people to empower themselves through our mission: putting God’s love into action; Skagit Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, community, and hope. With our help, Habitat Homebuyers achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. In 2015, we celebrated our very first Homebuyer successfully paying off their twenty-year mortgage. Since its start, Skagit Habitat has built 45 affordable homes and counting!
