There is a dire need for affordable housing in Skagit County. Rents are rising far faster than income. Families are having to make tough decisions between paying rent and purchasing bare necessities like food, clothes, and medicine for their families.
For many low-income, hardworking families, homeownership is completely out of reach, while costly rentals are straining their existing budget.
Skagit Habitat for Humanity meets this need by partnering with hardworking, local families to help build and buy an affordable home. We believe that affordable homeownership is the key to generational stability.
Building More Affordable Homes Together
Skagit Habitat wants to give a special shoutout to our current Hope Builders! Their consistent, monthly donations help us budget for future builds, providing a strong foundation for our work in Skagit Valley!
Whether it’s a monthly commitment of $25 or $250, our Hope Builder’s reliable donations make a HUGE impact, helping Skagit Habitat plan long-term.
In fact, Hope Builders are playing a significant role in helping Skagit Habitat meet a goal of 15 homes per year by 2027!
In 2025, Skagit Habitat plans on building 11 more permanently affordable homes across La Conner and Anacortes. We could not do this without the continued support of our incredible community.

A: Nope! You choose the amount you wish to donate, and you can change this amount at any given time.
Q: Are my donations tax-deductible?
A: Yes! Skagit Habitat for Humanity is a 501c(3) public charity, therefore all donations are tax-deductible. At the end of the year, we’ll send you a tax receipt detailing all your contributions. (EIN: 91-1628529)
Q: What if my circumstances change, and I want to cancel my monthly donation?
A: Reach out via phone or email, and we can pause your monthly donations for however long you want!
