Create your own masterpiece, while making a difference!

Skagit HThe Speckled Hen Logoabitat for Humanity is excited to partner with community groups, like The Speckled Hen, who share a passion for affordable housing. Join us on Friday, October 4th at Skagit Cellars for an exciting night of painting, while making a difference in your local community!

The Speckled Hen is a local business that prides itself on “free-range creativity”, hosting paint parties weekly at Skagit County breweries and wineries. They offer a fun and supportive atmosphere for guests to unleash their inner artist and create a masterpiece. “It’s fun art, not fine art,” Helen, ½ of the dynamic mother-daughter duo that runs The Speckled Hen, states, “You and your friends will have a blast creating a memory and taking home a work of art you created yourself!”

The Speckled Hen will generously donate $10 of each ticket sold to Skagit Habitat for Humanity, helping us purchase building materials for our upcoming construction project in La Conner. That’s right – If you haven’t heard yet, we’re getting ready to build three more permanently affordable homes at the corner of Caledonia and First Street in La Conner!

By working with individual and corporate donors, local businesses, and volunteers, we can lower our upfront construction costs and help families obtain an affordable mortgage set at 33% of their household income. With an affordable mortgage, our Homebuyers can boost their savings; invest in their families’ education, careers, and future goals; and begin to build generational wealth.

Our partnership with The Speckled Hen is a great way to help us provide affordable housing solutions to those in need, while creating your own masterpiece. Invite your friends, family, or coworkers, and purchase your tickets today! (Seats are limited, so make sure to secure your spot before it’s too late.)
