Skagit Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter
Mission Statement:
Putting God’s love into action, Skagit Habitat for Humanity
Brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Vision Statement:
Empowering people to empower themselves.
History:
In 1994, local citizens formed Skagit Habitat for Humanity. This year, we are celebrating 29 years of building decent affordable homes for low-income families in our community. We believe in empowering people to empower themselves through our mission: putting God's love into action, Skagit Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, community, and hope. With our help, Habitat Homebuyers achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. In 2015, we celebrated our very first Homebuyer successfully paying off their twenty-year mortgage. In 2022, we held our 41st Groundbreaking Ceremony.
In February of 2023, we broke ground on four new homes in Mount Vernon!
