Our core volunteers work alongside Skagit Habitat for Humanity's future homeowners to do most of the work to build a Habitat home. We welcome volunteers of various ages, backgrounds and skill levels; individual and group volunteers, families, businesses, churches, and civic organizations.
Volunteering on a Skagit Habitat home can be a great team building experience, local mission opportunity, or fellowship activity!
- We build Wednesday-Saturday, 9 am – 3 pm
- Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older
- No prior building experience is needed — we have on-site supervisors to provide hands-on training
After completing the Skagit Habitat Construction Volunteer Orientation, you are welcome on the build site as often as you’d like. We have tools, or you may bring your own.
NOTE: If you have a special skill such as licensed electrician, plumber, drywall finisher, heavy equipment operator, roofer, carpet and flooring installer, please consider lending us your expertise on the build site. For more information or to provide in-kind services/materials please contact Cammie.
